THERE’S A POINT TO PERSECUTION (4-5)
The road to eternal glory goes through suffering & we follow in Jesus footsteps (Mark 8:31, 34-35, Phil1:29-30) when we suffer.
Suffering is: “the construction site foreman of God’s building project of holiness in our lives” (Eric Mason)
Romans 5:3-5 & James 1:2-4. Joy in the midst!
Hold fast to Jesus – by doing so, you account Him to be precious above all

JUDGEMENT IS CERTAIN (6-9)
The longing for justice will be fulfilled. God will repay in full
(Isaiah 59:15-19, Matt 16:27, Rev22:12)
Terrible separation will occur “away from the presence of the Lord and the glory of his might”
John 5:24:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgement but has passed from death to life.

JESUS WILL GET ALL THE GLORY (10)
“…to be glorified in his saints and marvelled at among all who have believed…”

God’s past grace informs our trust in his future grace
He will “make you worthy of his calling”
His power, His grace, His glory
Our faith, resolve and work
