We are excited to let you know that we are planning an evening seminar with Ed Drew from Faith in Kids.
Here’s an overview of the evening:
What’s the difference between good parenting and Christian parenting? Practically every parent wants their children to lead confident, morally upright, and happy lives. Christians want more. We believe that Jesus came to give our children life to the full (John 10:10), which is true flourishing. We want to give our children the Good News of Jesus Christ from the first years. The data is clear that it is not enough to take our children to church and to tell them Bible stories with good morality. We must be busy loving them and bringing the Good News to bear in their everyday life and experiences. This essential work requires a partnership between parents and the church.
The evening will begin to equip all those involved in this partnership to disciple children and teenagers with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We will work together through the Bible, the data, the theory and case studies, to ensure we leave ready to love our children together with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Ed Drew is the Director of Faith in Kids, a registered charity, which exists to support churches and parents in raising children to trust in Jesus Christ eternally (www.faithinkids.org).
He is the author of ‘Meals with Jesus’, ‘the Wonder of Easter’ and the presenter of the Faith in Kids podcast.
For twelve years Ed was the Children’s Worker at Dundonald Church, SW London. He’s married to Mary and they have three children.
