31 Aug THE MASTER’S MEN: JUDAS (John 12:1-8, 13:18-30)
1. How Did Judas Become A Disciple?
He was chosen by Christ (Matt 10:1-4, Mark 3:13-19, Luke 6:12-16, John 13:18)
2. What Else Do We Know About Judas?
a) He was the treasurer but a thief!(John 12 v 6)
b) He was a hypocrite but hid it! (John 13)
c) He was a betrayer who was broken but not repentant! (Matt 27:3-5)
3. Why Did Jesus Choose Judas?
Judas fulfilled the purposes of God (Psalm 41:9, Zech 11:12-13) But…. was totally responsible for his own actions
4. What Can We Learn?
a) To note the real warnings of Scripture
b) To realise the urgent need to pray
c) To know that Jesus understands any betrayal we have experienced
