• Panic, fear, unbelief, rebellion

• Water from the rock (The Lord provides)

• Massah = testing, Meribah = contention

2) WARFARE! (Ex 17:8-13)

• The enemy – godless, ruthless, devious, heartless Amalekites

• Joshua son of Nun, Moses, Aaron & Hur

• The battle in the heavens and in the valley

3) WORSHIP! (Ex 17:14-16)

• The altar built, “The Lord is my Banner”
